Dry needling techniques

What is it?

It is a technique using fine disposable needles to decrease muscle tension therefore deceasing pain. When the needle goes into a tight and shortened muscle it provokes a brief muscle contraction which has a relaxation effect that elongates the muscle back to its normal length and tone.

What is it?

It is a mandatory course provided by the “Ordre Professionnel des Physiothérapeutes du Québec” for all physiotherapists who want to use fine needles as a complementary modality to traditional physiotherapy treatments to reduce musculoskeletal pain.

All forms of musculoskeletal pain that have inflammation: chronic pain, sprain, strain, sciatica, contusion, post-operation, muscle tension, etc.
